Hello, it’s Meagan and today I’m gonna be reviewing Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children by Ransom Riggs; a book about children, monsters, and photographs…

A mysterious island. An abandoned orphanage. And a strange collection of very curious photographs. It all waits to be discovered in Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children, an unforgettable novel that mixes fiction and photography in a thrilling reading experience.

As our story opens, a horrific family tragedy sets sixteen-year-old Jacob journeying to a remote island off the coast of Wales, where he discovers the crumbling ruins of Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children. As Jacob explores its abandoned bedrooms and hallways, it becomes clear that the children who once lived here - one of whom was his own grandfather - were more than just peculiar. They may have been dangerous. They may have been quarantined on a desolate island for good reason.
And somehow - impossible though it seems - they may still be alive. –goodreads.com summery

First let me say I’m sorry for anyone who recommended this book… I kept putting it off because I never thought I’d like it… boy was I wrong… once Jacob got to the island I fell in love with this book, and the characters! Jacob was a fairly good protagonist. He didn’t annoy me, he was smart, ect…

Then there is Emma… from the moment you first saw her, I knew she was gonna be my favorite character. She was sweet, nice, and I REALLY felt bad for her when she found out what happened to Jacob’s grandfather, plus she’s a firebender automatically making her awesome!

Then the end… all I can say is Whoa! Didn’t see that coming! I would say more, but I wanna keep this as spoiler free as possible…

Overall it was an amazing book! I give it a 100% and you should go read it if you haven’t already!

If you have read the book… What did you think? Did you go into this book knowing what to expect, or kinda blindly like me? Do you ship Emma and Jacob… or is that kinda weird? Comment below and we can discuss!

That’s all for now…
