Hello it’s Meagan and today I’m here to review a new and amazing book by Alexandra Bracken, Never Fade!

DON’T READ FURTHER IF YOU HAVE NOT READ THE DARKEST MINDS BY ALEXANDRA BRACKEN… it’s amazing… go read it!

Ruby never asked for the abilities that almost cost her her life. Now she must call upon them on a daily basis, leading dangerous missions to bring down a corrupt government and breaking into the minds of her enemies. Other kids in the Children’s League call Ruby “Leader”, but she knows what she really is: a monster.
When Ruby is entrusted with an explosive secret, she must embark on her most dangerous mission yet: leaving the Children’s League behind. Crucial information about the disease that killed most of America’s children—and turned Ruby and the others who lived into feared and hated outcasts—has survived every attempt to destroy it. But the truth is only saved in one place: a flashdrive in the hands of Liam Stewart, the boy Ruby once believed was her future—and who now wouldn’t recognize her.
As Ruby sets out across a desperate, lawless country to find Liam—and answers about the catastrophe that has ripped both her life and America apart—she is torn between old friends and the promise she made to serve the League. Ruby will do anything to protect the people she loves. But what if winning the war means losing herself? –goodreads.com summery

Oh my gosh this book was amazing! I give it a 100%, I had no problems with it! It was fast-paced, intense, heart wrenching and I loved every page! I was really glad to see some old faces and I loved all the new characters! I also really enjoyed getting to see the children’s league and learn more about them!

Now I really want to choose a favorite character but I can’t; they are all so awesome, interesting and funny! I really loved Ruby in this book! She was so funny, strong and just a great narrator. Then I also loved some of the new characters! Jude was so sweet and amazing and Vida was hilarious! I wasn’t sure if I could trust her at first but by the end she was one of my favorite characters! Then there was Cole. At first I really didn’t know if I should trust him, but I couldn’t not like him! He was so amazing and kinda reminded me of Liam (because he is Liam’s brother)

Overall I really enjoyed this book! If you haven’t read it yet; go get it! It is well worth it! Now don’t read further if you haven’t read the book… everything in orange will be a spoiler…

SPOILERS!!!

First I wanna say one thing… COLE IS A RED! Oh my gosh, I did not see that coming! When he used his ability to help Ruby, it was so awesome and kick-butt! I loved it! I also really want to see Cole and Liam to make amends as brothers; I just think that would be amazing!

Second… LIAM! I’m really happy that Liam was in the majority of this book! He’s such a great and sweet character! Then when he talked to Ruby about how even though he didn’t know her he still loved her; it was really sad. But then Ruby gave him the memory of the safe house back and I was happy, because what if that means she can give everyone else their memory back! I just want Ruby and Liam’s relationship to be back where it was in The Darkest Minds

Next… Ruby! I really liked Ruby in this book! She was funny, kick-butt, strong, and really is learning to use her ability! Then when she killed Rob…oh my gosh that idiot totally deserved that! But I can see where she was coming from when she didn’t want to end up like Clancy.

This leads me to my next topic… Clancy. I MEAN DIE ALREADY! He’s like a cockroach! Then when he was manipulating Ruby’s mind… I was so angry! At the end I really thought he was dead, and then he just came out another door! But the best part was at the very end when he thought he destroyed all his mom’s research, and Ruby just walked up and said, “you mean this research”. BEST WAY TO END THE BOOK! :)

Last thing (I promise)… Jude! At the end I just figured he was with Ruby, but he wasn’t… then when Liam and Chubs found his compass in the tunnel it was sooo sad! I really liked Jude he was so lighthearted and sweet and he always saw the good in people! But it wasn’t until I went to put the book on my shelf (and put the jacket back on) that I realized the compass on the cover… I literally ran in the kitchen freaking out when I realized that it was Jude’s compass…

Again I really enjoyed this book! This series is probably one of my favorites! I can’t wait to find out what the 3rd book will be called and to see the complete sentence on my shelf!

That’s it from me…

Bye! :)
